The wedding hall was a bustling hive of activity. Guests mingled, laughter filled the air, and the
aroma of delicious food wafted through the room. Some were engrossed in conversation, while
others simply enjoyed the festivities. Amidst the chaos, Pandit ji, a serene figure, recited sacred
mantras.
A sudden hush fell over the crowd as a strikingly handsome man, Karthik Rao, arrived. Dressed
in an impeccable black tuxedo, his disheveled hair added a touch of rebellious charm. Navin,
the bride's father, rushed to greet him, his face lit up with pride.
"Welcome, sir. Thank you for coming," Navin said, his voice filled with respect.
Karthik smiled, his eyes twinkling. "It's okay, uncle. Please don't call me sir. You're older than
me, and besides, you're a friend of my father's."
Karthik's POV
As I entered the hall, I was greeted by the familiar face of Navin uncle. A loyal and dedicated
employee of our company, he had been with us since my father's time. His warm welcome filled
me with a sense of nostalgia.
I was here not only to attend the wedding but also to fulfill a promise to my late parents. They
would have loved to be here, their presence a comforting beacon in these troubled times.
A wave of sadness washed over me as I remembered the tragic accident that had taken their
lives. The wound was still fresh, a constant reminder of their absence.
I was not here to just attend the wedding but also had a special purpose for my visit.
"Karthik..." Navin uncle's voice interrupted my thoughts. His understanding gaze softened the pain in my heart.
I joined the other guests, my eyes scanning the crowd. The festive atmosphere seemed out of
place, a stark contrast to the sorrow I carried within.
Suddenly, a hush fell over the room. A tense silence hung in the air. A lady's voice, filled with
dread, echoed through the hall, "The groom eloped!"
AUTHOR POV
The room was filled with family members only other guests were out in the garden area. Only Navin and his brothers and their wives were present.
Chaos erupted. The once joyous occasion was now marred by disappointment and confusion.
As the minutes ticked by, a familiar voice cut through the noise.
"I will marry her," Karthik declared, his voice firm and resolute.
The room fell silent, every eye fixed on him. A new chapter was about to begin, one filled with
uncertainty and hope.
